"Maybe the journey isn’t so much about becoming anything. Maybe it’s about un-becoming everything that isn’t really you, so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place." - Paulo Coelho
Through the body your soul becomes visible. It was created by God; so, it is inherently good. Your whole body is inherently good and not shameful. Your body reveals God’s plan and that nakedness without shame is the key for understanding God’s plan for our lives. The human body is not in itself shameful, nor for the same reasons are sensual reactions and human sensuality in general —Karol Wojtila
God saw everything that he made, and indeed, it was VERY good. Gen 1:31.
Your body is a divine gift. We owe it to our creator to take care of it, appreciate it and enjoy it.
Marriage is not the end. It’s continuously a renewed beginning of life. The beauty of our marriage is that it allows us to experience our lives more intensely than we could individually.
Our pursuit never ends. We will continue pursuing each other - trying to see each other with new eyes. We will lovingly and unselfishly support each other's pursuit of happiness in our goals and activities.
Our marriage, rooted in trust, confidence and commitment to each other is the foundation from which we give each other the freedom to explore the unknown, the taboo, and ourselves without fear of shame or embarrassment while respecting our established boundaries.
Travel forces you to adapt, to confront the unknown, to experience new ways of thinking and new ideas (like the foot flusher). What is certain is that you always return a little different than you left.
I can’t live in the world of total religious identity or that going to church is the only way to experience the divine. I also can’t live in the world that negates the beauty of tradition and ceremony. Just like a pregame routine, it gets your mind right to take on your opponent and play as best as you possibly can. thats a benefit of church.
Church is one of the many tools to use to connect to the divine, but not the only. The Franciscan Friar Richard Rohr teaches the Tricycle. Tradition, Scripture and Experience with experience being the front wheel because experience wins out anyway.
Contemplating these 3 things guide us on our life’s journey. But where are we headed?
It’s not to follow Jesus!!! Whaaat?? Jesus is the short cut. We are headed back to the garden to our pre fallen state of innocence. That’s our truest nature. The battles we fight every day and the wars we fight over our life have to be oriented towards staying on this journey. It’s not enough to talk about it. You really have to make progress through a lifetime or you’ll get lost.
The last line of the Genesis creation story sums up the state of Adam and Eve in the garden just before the fall. To me, this is as true as humanity could possibly get. It illuminates the purpose of life and if the purpose of life is the journey towards a pre fallen state an original state of innocence per se then the last line of creation makes it clear.
And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed. Gen 2:25
This one line is worth contemplating its metaphorical signifinance. It’s so simple, yet so powerful.
If your religion doesn’t do its part to keep you on the path then you should really contemplate your practice. If it helps some then it’s worth it. When it gets off track, you’ll know. Dispense of that part. Being a cafeteria Catholic, Baptist or Christian is ok.
We should strive to exist as close to our natural state as we can.
If we are oriented in this direction, we're on the right track.
Eliminate as many toxins and you can whether it’s food, environment, clothing or stress. Facilitate oxygen and nutrients through the blood flow and the detoxification of cells through your lymphatic system. This insures that your lymphatic system doesn't back up with toxins and become carcinogenic potentially leading to cancer.
Food: Eat as close to the original source as possible. No hormones, pesticides, herbicides or over processed foods. Pesticides and herbicides are fat soluble. They reside in plant and animal fats. When they enter the body they toxify your cells putting an additional load on your lymphatic system to detoxify. This over toxicity causes cancer.
Clothing: Wear loose or no clothing. After all we were made without clothing. Clothes that bind impair the lymphatic system by preventing the removal of toxins in the body. If the lymphatic system can’t function, toxins build, stew, increase in toxicity and become carcinogenic. Clothes are not natural to the human. I don't believe you should wear clothing to bed. Your body needs to cool down and have exposure to the air. Our bodies are suffocated enough during the day. Many parts of are body are hot and moist from the day. Exposure to the air allows your skin to breathe. Ideally, we would wear clothing for protection. Since most of the time we have to live in a textile world, then I think you should eliminate the following items:
1) underwear - they keep testicles bound and warm. If testicles were meant to be warmer than your body temperature they wouldn’t be outside your body. For women, eliminate any underwear that's not cotton. Cotton absorbs moisture, synthetics don't. If moisture persists yeast infections exists as I always say. Maybe Nike should invent moisture wicking panties.
2) belts - belts, especially ones too tight cut off proper function of the lymphatic system below the waist. Most colon cancer starts in the part of the colon below the waste.
3) bras - the lymphatic system has its highest concentration under the arm and above the chest. This is where the breast tissue drains. Bra’s bind the breasts, which were biologically intended for feeding therefore meant to be exposed and not bound up. Bra's also impair proper function of the lymphatic system. By restricting its flow toxins build and build with nowhere to go. Women who go braless have the same rate of breast cancer as men, which is minimal.
Facts:
*3 out of 4 women who wore their bra 24 hrs a day developed breast cancer
*1 out of 7 women who wore their bra more than 12 hours but didn't sleep in it developed breast cancer
*1 out of 152 women who wore their bra les than 12 hours developed breast cancer
*Only 1 out of 168 women wore their bra rarely or never were diagnosed with breast cancer
4) heels or any other shoe that puts the human body in an unnatural position or binds the foot to the point of swelling. What is swollen in your feet is not blood vessels, it’s lymphatic system trying to drain.
Environment: It is good for your body to experience changes in temperature. It facilitates your mitochondria. Constant temperature is not good. Direct contact with morning light helps reset your circadian rhythm and improves your mood. I cannon stress enough the benefits of time in nature. It helps reset yourself to the rhythm of the world, which is where we feel the most at ease and at home. It's our natural rhythm. This is not only a physical reset but a mental one. The rhythm of our thoughts sync with el Alma del Mundo. Steer clear of added scents in your home, detergents, deodorants and soaps. They're just a bunch of chemicals that toxify your cells in your skin and inside your body that your body has to ultimately filter and eliminate.
Your body needs direct contact to sunlight. If you need an excuse to skinny dip, here it is. One of the most valuable vitamins your body can absorb is vitamin D. It can't absorb it if you're inside, wearing sunblock or completely covered up.
So, we’ve already established that the body is good
